Do you
need an online presence?
Domain
names are inexpensive, costing around $10 per year,
while hosting costs about $5 per month--so the
ongoing costs are inexpensive.
Map out
your site on paper, then create your text in MSWord
or WordPerfect. Of course you will need graphics and
pictures. If you don't have your own, they can be
purchased for $2-$5 each, also inexpensive. Your
website can be as simple, or as complex as you
choose.
Mail forwarding comes with most domain/hosting packages. Use "name@yourcompany.com" for each employee or department. Even a micro-business can benefit from showing a "sales@", "info@", "name@"--with all of them being forwarded to your regular e-mail account. You can "painlessly" move or change your ISP (eg. Telus, Shaw...) without having to reprint or change your contact info.
Next step: build and upload your website!
