FYI
hindsight is 20/20
Our market is micro, small and fledgling businesses. We are dedicated in helping our customers be successful in every way that we can. Here is some information that may be helpful...
E-mail Forwarding When setting up your business, consider getting a domain name (about $10 per year). The "e-mail forwarding" feature is invaluable. This enables you to change your ISP without affecting your business e-mail (you set it up to forwarded to your regular e-mail account).
Printing Books We have established relationships with a number of book printers, and can negotiate prices/perks unavailable to the general public.
Color Printing
Special pricing is available for full-color printing for: rack cards, business cards and brochures.
Get Quotes
Printing prices can vary from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars on the same job. Be sure that you're comparing "apples to apples" (same paper stock etc.).
Pantone Inks
Pantone colors are the only way to control color! If you need a precise color, like "Coca-Cola red", you'll need to use off-set printing and Pantone ink.
Digital Printing
Digital technology is great, and outputs a quality product. You will find slight variations in your printed materials when they are digitally printed--even when it's being printed on the same printer, by the same company.
Color Can be Confusing
When you're looking at a graphic on your screen, other people may be seeing slightly different tones on theirs because the monitors are not calibrated the same.
-
Your computer monitor is RGB (Red, Green, Blue)
-
Inkjet printers can be either RGB; Red, Green, Blue) or CMYK; Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (yes, "K" stands for black)
-
Digital printers are: CMYK
Digital Re-printing
When you're re-printing a project digitally, give the print company a sample. This gives you the best possibility of a "best" match.
